Can I give away gift cards?

  • There is way to do this based on custom use case. Please see process Below:


  1. Create a fake free gift card product by first creating a product in Shopify Products admin.


  1. Go back to the app's Gifts page, select the new product, set a title for the new gift, then click Create Gift. The app will set the image of the new gift product using a default gift image or your product's image.


  1. Use this fake free gift card product to create gift goals. The gift card product will be added to customers' carts based on the gift goal you set.


  1. Track your orders every day and manually issue gift cards to the customers who were awarded (purchased) the fake free gift card product.


Unfortunately our app cannot create the real gift cards automatically due to a limitation in the Shopify API.
