# Does the free gift app affect the theme code and interact with other features?

- Our app doesn't normally affect other features nor the standard or custom theme code.  When using a drawer cart, most shop owners prefer that our app can show the gift in the drawer cart as soon as it's awarded, and without a full page reload being required. We have integrations with some drawer carts which allow us to trigger a drawer cart update without a page reload. If your theme has a supported drawer cart this would be one way in which our app can interact with the drawer cart.

- If your drawer cart isn't supported, a gift being awarded will result in a page reload or redirect to cart (based on your settings). If this is the case we will take a look to see if we can add a no-reload integration. Some drawer cart expose methods for this but not all do.
