Why is there no discount input on Checkout when a gift is in the cart?
- If you're using our app's "Draft Orders" feature (found on the app's Settings page), then our app will create a Draft Order when the customer clicks Checkout. This causes Shopify to hide the discount field on Checkout, and customers won't be able to apply manual discount codes.
To go around this, shop owners also use our other app which allows applying the standard Shopify discount codes (as well as stacking multiples of them if configured to do so) before the customer goes to Checkout.
Then the applied manual discount can be shown on the Checkout page even though this will not bring back the Checkout's built-in discount field.
