Why is there no discount input on Checkout when a volume discount is applied?
- Our Volume Discount app takes over the discount calculation (for Custom Volume Discounts) when the Checkout button is clicked, which causes Shopify to hide the discount field on Checkout, and customers won't be able to apply manual discount codes.
- To go around this, shop owners also use our other app which allows applying the standard Shopify discount codes (as well as stacking multiples of them if configured to do so) before the customer goes to Checkout. Then the applied manual discount can be shown on the Checkout page even though this will not bring back the Checkout's built-in discount field.
